Frequently Asked Question
Preface
The answer currently is, it depends. We use two different email systems here, with the difference being if you were assigned a Microsoft 365 license. As a general rule, office staff with a company computer with be on 365, whereas employees that just have a mailbox that they check from a phone or tablet will be on Rackspace.
If you're not sure whether or not you have Microsoft Office 365 installed on your computer, you can check by opening any of the office apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint), and from the File menu, go to the Account area in the lower left of the screen. From there, you should see the version of Office displayed prominently at the top of the screen:
Office 365 Setup
If you are on 365, good news, your email client should automatically configure itself when you enter your email address at the start of the setup process. You'll need to know your email password, which is not necessarily the same as your computer login. If you do not know what the password is anymore, contact us to reset it.
Rackspace Setup
If you're not using 365, you will likely need to tell your mail client you need to perform a manual setup. Once you get to the right screen it should be asking for a mail protocol, security settings, incoming/outgoing servers, and login information. Use the following information for Rackspace:
Incoming Server
- Server: secure.emailsrvr.com
- Port: 993
- Requires SSL: Yes
- Username: Your full email address
- Password: The same password you use to log in to Rackspace webmail
Outgoing Server
- Server: secure.emailsrvr.com
- Port: 465
- Requires SSL: Yes
- Username: Your full email address
- Password: The same password you use to log in to Rackspace webmail
As always, if you're having issues getting any of this working, we're here and happy to help. Either create a ticket or send an email to support@sawyernursery.com, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. Thank you!
